Yorkshire Honey
Scampston, North Yorkshire
Yorkshire Honey is among the best in the world - the variety of the landscape, from the flat fields of borage in the East, to the heather-covered Moors of the North and the rolling Dales in the West ensure a variety of fauna which, in turn, ensures a wide variety of pollen for the bees to feast on. And no-one knows this better than Marcus Cordingley of Yorkshire Honey, a business started over 40 years ago by his father.
Marcus works between 200 and 300 hives all over Yorkshire. These provide him with a variety of honeys which he extracts, filters and jars - the honey is not pasteurised, so retains its full flavour.
We are pleased to stock spring blossom honey (in both its set and its clear form) as well as heather honey, and from time to time we are also able to stock some blossom heather, which is a mix of the two. We are also occasionally able to stock a small quantity of comb heather honey - honey straight from the hive in its most natural form, and a true delicacy.
