Botham's of Whitby

Whiby, North Yorkshire

Founded over 140 years ago in the picturesque port of Whitby, on the rugged coast of North Yorkshire, Bothams' is one of the county, if not the country's, best bakeries.

Its founder, Elizabeth Botham, began selling her baked wares around the houses and markets of Whitby in the latter half of the 19th century. Today, in the custody of Elizabeth's great-grandchildren, the bakery continues to produce a fantastic range of delectable cakes and delicious biscuits that it has long been known for, and whilst it has expanded into newer premises in Whitby, its heart and soul remains in the shop and tea room in Skinner Street which Elizabeth opened in 1865.

We're delighted to be able to stock a number of their cakes, such as their Yorkshire Brack and their famous plumbread, as well as some of their fantastic biscuits, including their chocolate chip and ginger biscuits and their irresistable double chocolate biscuits.
