A large jar of Yorkshire Honey's delicious heather honey. True heather honey is produced from bees which have feasted on Ling, which is commonly found on upland moorlands such as the North York Moors. Whilst they may have also feasted on other plants, the honey produced from Ling is thixotropic, which means is can be separated from other honey when processed. As a result pure heather honey can be obtained - a much stronger tasting honey results in which the heather scent is prominent..
Our Yorkshire Honey is produced by Marcus Cordingley of Yorkshire Honey who has over two hundred bee hives in various locations around Yorkshire producing some of the best honey in the region.
